Red River Grooming Co. started from an interest in traditional ingredients, better soap, and how things are made.
As a former chef and restaurateur, I’ve always been interested in how things work — cooking from scratch, curing meat, making cheese, growing food, and learning traditional techniques built around simple ingredients and real craftsmanship.
After making my first batch of tallow soap, the difference was obvious. It lathered well, rinsed clean, and left my skin feeling better than most commercial soaps I’d used before.
I noticed there weren’t many tallow-based grooming products made specifically for men with clean, masculine scents.
